The sources I found required that I send precise measurements for each radiator, not easy and totally intimidating when dealing with 90 year old steam radiators. The first was a radiator cover for an old steam radiator. The piece was finished in 2 days, made out of the best wood, fit over the radiator perfectly and actually looks like a piece of furntiure. The second was a bench box for our entry hall. It needed to be built specifically to fit the hallway without getting in the way. This piece was done in three days, including 3 coats of varnish. Again, only the best wood was used, (no particle board), the opening lid has extra reinforcements and is a beautiful piece of furniture. "The third piece is a shelf unit for our bathroom (you know to hold all those things that end up all over your bathroom counter). Again, Jeremy at Lakota Custom Designs was given the size of the area that I had to work with and the color I would like it to be and in 7 days it was in my bathroom and filled. Everything from Lakota Custom Designs is of the highest quality craftmanship and stock. All peices have been made to order to my specifications, (it's great not having to take what a furniture store thinks you want and being able to get exactly what you want.) Furniture stores looked at me like I had 3 heads when I ask about one, and everything I found on the internet was poor quality (fiber board), needed assembly and high prices. I mentioned my dilemma to Jeremy, owner of Lakota Custom Designs, who offered to build me a pair of racks to my specifications. From my internet search I found a design I liked but wanted to change a couple of features to make it more usable for my living space; I also wanted one rack to hold roughly 500 DVD’s and the other about 300. The design process of the first rack took about 3 days to complete. Jeremy provided pictures through the build process and I was able to pick up the rack in about 9 days completely stained and dried. "The second rack was the same style so the complete rack was done in about 9 days. Together, I saved well over $200 on my racks when compared to the internet stores and the quality is outstanding. The personalized service I received from Lakota Custom Designs was like nothing I have ever received when purchasing furniture and I would highly recommend to any of my friends and my family.
